St Peters Western En Route...
A record 33 swimmers from Queensland clubs will make up 75 percent of the Australian Olympic Swim Team in Paris, following a hugely successful Australian Trials at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre. This is the highest number of swimmers from Queensland clubs ever named to represent Australia at an Olympic Games. Notably, 10 swimmers will represent our very own St Peters Western program, the most from a single club.
Dialogues @ School 2024
St Peters recently hosted a stimulating Dialogues @ School event where Senior School students explored the question, "Could AI Improve Education for All?" Led by a panel of Year 11 students and moderated by former College Vice Captain Noah Davies, the event encouraged open and robust dialogue among over 100 participating students, reflecting our commitment to fostering inclusive discussions on important topics like AI in education.
Megan Daley Launches Buzzworthy New...
Earlier this term, Teacher Librarian and St Peters Old Scholar, Megan Daley (1993), launched her debut children's picture book titled 'The Beehive.' Illustrated by Max Hamilton and published by Walker Books, this book celebrates Australian native bees, the unsung heroes of pollination. We spoke with Megan about her inspiration behind the story, her experience creating a picture book, and her aspirations for 'The Beehive.'
